Acupuncture is a painless therapeutic technique that involves inserting thin needles into specific points across the body. This encourages the brain’s release of pain relieving chemicals, such as endorphins and endomorphine, to ease pain, discomfort, and to promote healing.
Studies have shown great results in the use of acupuncture to treat a multitude of conditions including musculoskeletal complaints, digestive issues, mental health, and much more.
Round cups are placed on particular areas of the body and a suction is created to decompress muscles and connective tissue. This, in effect, relaxes muscles, improves blood circulation, activates the lymphatic system, and calms the nervous system.
Occasionally red circles are left behind on the skin that look like bruises but do NOT feel like bruises. Cupping is painless, relaxing, and a great part of the recovery process post-workout.
The goal of adjustments is to restore appropriate joint movement and function. This works to reduce pain by decreasing the pressure on the surrounding muscles and tissues.
Adjustments are not only for your neck and back! Other common joints we adjust include your ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and fingers.
